If you only have a few hours in the City but you want to visit the highlights of one of the most historical places in the world this is the right tour for you. You will visit the main landmarks of the Historical Center and the Castle of Chapultepec with a guide who will help you make the most of your time.
Explore the archaeological site of the most important Aztec religious center: the Templo Mayor or Great Temple (Huey Teocalli). You´ll see how Mexico City was built on top of the city of Tenochtitlan.

The Historical Center of Mexico City (UNESCO World Heritage site) has a story waiting to be told in each street. Mexico City was built on top of the ancient city of Tenochtitlan, the largest pre-Columbian city at the moment of the arrival of the Spanish conquistadors.
You will visit the ruins of the Templo Mayor (Huey Teocalli or Great Temple) that the Aztecs built as the main religious center and was considered the center of the Universe.
Learn about the Mighty Aztec Empire, the foundation of Tenochtitlan and the clash of two worlds that gave birth to what Mexico is today.
Afterward you ´ll visit The National Palace, home of the Spanish Viceroys in the New Spain (Mexico) for almost 300 years. The building is a witness of all the historical events that have taken place inside and outside its walls and that have had a huge relevance in Mexican history.
It is also famous for the giant stairway mural that Diego Rivera painted from 1929 to 1935 which summarizes the Mexican History and that was created as a part of a huge government´s program to create a new national identity through murals in public buildings.
From there you´ll head to the Metropolitan Cathedral, the oldest and the largest in Latin America. It took 240 years to be finished. You will see three main different architectonical styles such as Renaissance, Baroque and Neoclassical.
We will explore the historical neighborhood where you´ll see and learn about the Zocalo square, colonial architecture, the National Art Museum, the Post Office building and Palacio de Bellas Artes (Fine Arts Palace).
The Fine Arts Palace is one of a kind in Mexico. Designed by Italian architect Adamo Boari in 1904 and finished until 1934. A must see in Mexico City.
Have lunch at a traditional Mexican restaurant (your guide will suggest some sites for you to try real Mexican food in clean and traditional places. However, if you have already a place in mind, your guide will gladly take you there).
Afterward, your guide will drive you to the Castle of Chapultepec where you will enjoy a great view of Mexico City. You will learn about the forest of Chapultepec and the huge impact that the Castle has had in Mexico. Explore what was once the home of Emperor Maximilian and his wife Charlotte from Belgium.
